How to Reset Your Digital Life in 4 Steps

For years, I’ve been kinda obsessed with finding questions and prompts that cut through the noise and shed light on the hidden truths of my life.

I’ve collected hundreds of them from books, articles, videos, courses, and other people’s year-end reviews, like a scientist collecting rare and beautiful species of butterflies.

As the end of the year quickly approaches, I’d like to share 3 of my favorite ones that never fail to give me insight:

#1. When did you feel most alive? What was happening around you to fuel that aliveness?

This one is designed to help you identify the conditions that make you feel alive, so you can recreate them in the future.

#2. What hardships are you carrying with you into this time of year?

This prompt helps surface the disappointments, heartbreaks, and pain you’ve been avoiding feeling from the past year, so you can process and heal them.

#3. In which areas of life are you still holding back until you feel like you know what you’re doing?

This one always helps me be honest about the areas of my life where I’m holding back out of fear or perfectionism, which often are the most fruitful for me to bring into the light in the coming year.

Can you feel the inherent power of these questions? Can you sense that your subconscious already has the beginnings of an answer? And can you see that it would take some time and effort to answer them with total honesty?

That is exactly what an annual review is meant to do: to give you the time and space you need to have an honest conversation with yourself.

A conversation about what’s going on right now, about what matters and is being neglected, and ultimately about what you want.

Join The Annual Review 2025 and I’ll show you a series of surprisingly powerful tools for asking and answering these kinds of soul-searching questions.

How to Evolve Your Relationship with Information

Our relationship with information evolves through four distinct phases, which I call The Four C’s. Each phase has its own purpose and challenges.

  1. Consuming: This is where most of us begin. You’re reading books, scrolling social media, or watching videos—but not saving anything or applying what you learn. Eventually, you might realize that simply consuming isn’t enough.
  2. Collecting: In this phase, you start saving the “good stuff.” Maybe you’re bookmarking articles or taking notes. But soon, you notice that all this saving doesn’t automatically lead to meaningful results.
  3. Curating: Here, you’re refining what you’ve collected. You select the best ideas, distill them, and focus on what truly matters. Yet, even this phase can feel incomplete. At some point, you might feel ready to move beyond working with others’ ideas.
  4. Creating: In the final phase, you take what you’ve learned and turn it into something new—whether it’s writing, videos, or a creative project. This is where the magic happens.

Interestingly, these phases aren’t always linear. You might cycle through them depending on the season, your energy, or even the scope of a specific project. For instance, winter might be your “consuming and collecting” time, while spring inspires you to curate and create.

Here’s the big question: What phase are you in right now? What’s no longer working for you? If you’re feeling stuck, it might be time to experiment with moving to the next phase.

Start small—try saving a single highlight, distilling a key takeaway, or creating a quick post to share your insights.

Growth comes from recognizing where you are and taking one intentional step forward. So, where will you go next?

Over the past week, I’ve shared why I believe AI is the biggest shift in how we work since the internet, and why most “DIY” approaches fall flat when it comes to actual implementation in a business setting.
