Fix Your Bottlenecks

Feel like your team is working harder than ever but barely keeping up? The constant busyness, inefficiencies, and daily demands can leave everyone feeling overwhelmed.

If this hits home for you, I’m thrilled to invite you to a free workshop today, Feb. 4th, at 12 pm ET with Nick Sonnenberg, bestselling author of Come Up for Air.

Nick will share his CPR Business Efficiency Framework—a simple yet powerful system designed to help teams reclaim their time, reduce stress, and boost productivity.

This event will be recorded, and the replay will be available to all registrants.

Taming Information Overload: The Art of Forgetting

Feeling overwhelmed by too much information? You’re not alone. In fact, everyone is drowning in it. Information overload isn’t a personal failing—it’s built into modern life.

The key isn’t trying to keep up with everything. It’s accepting that you won’t—and creating intentional ways to forget.

Here are three simple rules to help you manage the flood:

  1. Limit your focus – Reduce the number of projects you’re actively working on. Less juggling, more progress.
  2. Control your intake – Set a daily time limit for consuming new information. More input isn’t always better.
  3. Let notes fade – In your Second Brain, prioritize your most recent notes. Sort by date created or updated. If a note isn’t being used, let it drift to the bottom. If you’re not using it, you probably don’t need it.

Think of it as use it or lose it—and that’s completely okay.

This 1980s Strategy Will Change How You Work FOREVER

The “Theory of Constraints” is an almost forgotten concept from the 1980s with the potential to skyrocket your productivity.

In this video, I break down this powerful framework, originally created by Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt, and show you how to apply it to your personal workflow in five simple steps.

If you’re into working in a startup or in a growth-oriented role, check out this article on how the Theory of Constraints applies to startup growth.

Reflections on 5 Months in Mexico

We’ve been living as a family in small-town Mexico for over 5 months now.

It’s started to feel like home and I’ve just realized the perfect way to describe it…

Being in Mexico right now is like living in the 90s.

A few examples:

  • Smartphones are present but it doesn’t feel like they’ve warped people’s minds and eliminated everyday social interactions
  • There are far more people around everywhere, hanging out and being together casually in public spaces
  • Politics feels absent from daily life almost completely, like a distant concern
  • People are SO much more social it’s kind of unbelievable
  • Everything seems to run in slow motion

Happy New Year 🥳 I’m back from Antarctica and excited that we’re kicking off the first monthly theme in our new Second Brain Membership… We’ve all experienced how a messy workspace, whether physical or digital, creates overwhelm and makes it harder to focus. In January, we’ll work together to declutter your personal and shared environment and archive anything that’s no longer serving you. By the end of the month, you’ll have a clean, inviting workspace that motivates you to tackle your most...
