We’re officially entering the second half of the year! And if I’m honest, some of my systems have gotten a little... messy at this point.
I bet you can relate. The tools that felt perfect in January might be cluttering your workflow now. And the PARA structure you set up with such intention is probably drifted from your actual priorities.
That's not failure, that's life. And July is the perfect time to realign everything.
This month in the Second Brain Membership, we're focusing on a mid-year reset – a strategic recalibration that sets you up to finish the year strong.
Here's what our team will explore in the Office Hours:
- 7/1: Mid-Year Reflection & Priority Check-In
- 7/8: PARA Refresh
- 7/15: Tool Stack Reality Check
- 7/22: Workflow Tune-Up
- 7/29: Second Half Setup & Momentum Planning

My 4-Stage System for Learning Anything New
You know the feeling: You discover something fascinating, bookmark dozens of resources, then weeks later, you're still stuck in planning mode. Sound familiar?
I just documented my systematic approach to learning new skills—the same process I've used for everything from AI to productivity systems. It's designed to efficiently separate what's worth pursuing from what's not.
Inside, you'll discover the four stages that transform scattered learning into focused mastery, plus the secret ingredient that accelerates everything: cultivating play.
Most importantly, you'll learn why most attempts should fizzle out—and how that's actually optimal.
When Everyone's Already Maxed Out…
A business owner in our Second Brain Enterprise beta cohort recently shared their pain point as we’re moving into the implementation phase of the program:
"I can see how AI could transform our business, but everyone on my team is already maxed out. How do I free up time first to focus on a bigger transformation?"
We gave them 3 recommendations to create immediate breathing room:
- Cut your meetings: Take a hard look at your calendar—you can probably remove half of them. Then leverage AI to prep and debrief the ones that remain. I bet many 60-minute meetings can easily turn into 30-minute ones.
- Template everything: Any writing task that happens more than once should become an AI-powered template. Think client emails, project updates, or proposal outlines. Create a simple prompt with placeholders for the key details, then let AI handle the heavy lifting.
- Streamline reading and document analysis: Instead of manually reviewing documents, drag them into NotebookLM. Get an instant summary and private podcast that discusses the content.
Action step: Try one of these recommendations this week and report back what you found by replying to this email.
Unlock the Life You Want by Feeling Safe in Your Body
In this year’s Annual Review program, Chloe Good taught a powerful session on “Making Better Decisions — How to Hear What Your Intuition is Telling You.”
Her core insight: If you don’t feel safe in your body, it’s nearly impossible to access your intuition and make clear decisions.
That truth stuck with me. Before we optimize workflows or set goals, we need to feel safe enough to listen to ourselves. A key path to that is cultivating embodied secure attachment—the ability to feel safe, connected, and alive in ourselves and relationships.
To support this, Chloe created Attachment Alchemy, a 4-month journey to rewire your nervous system for safety to ultimately create the life you want.
If you’re wanting to do deep inner work this year that will take your life to the next level, I highly recommend checking it out and getting on a call with Chloe.
