How to Turn ChatGPT Into Your Business Strategist

It’s already the final week of our Second Brain Enterprise Beta Cohort, and I have to share what's been happening.

We have 80 people from over 50 organizations going through this intensive program, where we're teaching entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives how to install an AI-powered operating system into their business.

The journey has been incredible.

We've learned so much and already received amazing feedback from participants who are seeing real transformation in how they run their companies.

Here's what one participant shared:

We're planning to run the next cohort soon, and I want to make sure you have first access if this resonates with you.

I Turned ChatGPT Into My $100K Business Strategist With One Document

In part two of our Master Prompt Method series, serial entrepreneur Hayden Miyamoto is back to coach me through the exact process that transforms ChatGPT into a personal business strategist.

Watch Hayden walk me through setting up the master prompt that gets me strategic advice tailored to my specific challenges in 10 seconds. No coding required—just one simple document.

I bet you’ll get at least a 3-5x productivity boost on every strategic decision and an AI that actually understands your business model, customers, and team dynamics.

Why AI Works Better in Small Steps

I've seen people ask AI to perform tasks like "turn this idea into a multi-part online course with all associated marketing materials, facilitator script, and operational details."

It'll do it. It'll even do a fair job. But here's what I've learned from working with LLMs like Claude extensively: You're setting yourself up for mediocre results.

Think about how many steps you just asked AI to complete simultaneously. That's like asking someone to juggle while riding a unicycle and solving math problems. Technically possible, but not their best work.

Here's a better approach: Break it into stages where you can give feedback at each step.

First, ask for just the course framework. Review it. Give feedback. Then ask for one module's content. Refine that. Next, create the marketing angle based on the refined course content. Then the first sales email. Each step builds on the feedback from the previous one.

Why does this work? Because you're not providing feedback on dozens of decisions—you're guiding each major choice point. The AI performs better, and you get exactly what you need instead of a kitchen-sink solution that misses the mark.

Try this: Take your next big AI request and break it into 3-5 smaller steps. Ask for one piece, give feedback, then move forward.

What did you notice when you tried this approach? Reply and let me know—I read every response.

From YouTube to Netflix to Nat Geo

My friend Jo Franco just launched a new series with THE National Geographic called Big Little Italy.

Join her on a journey through some of the world's most vibrant Little Italy neighborhoods, tasting incredible food and learning the stories of the people who keep these communities alive.

If you want a glimpse behind the scenes to hear from Jo directly how she made the jump from YouTube creator to Netflix host to Nat Geo, check out her recap here.

In mid-May, I published a blog post about what J Dilla and early hip-hop can teach us about AI and the future of creativity (you might remember it). A few days later, I sent out a quick poll to folks who clicked on the link to read the article. I wanted to know if you actually liked it…and most of you did! Now, here’s the truth: This was the first article that I’ve created fully using Claude. And I was curious to know if you could tell. Most people couldn’t! What does that mean for the...
